Consciousness and the Predictive Brain

Recent work in computational and cognitive neuroscience depicts the brain as an ever-active multi-level prediction machine. In this talk, I ask what, if anything, this emerging vision has to say about the nature and mechanistic underpinnings of conscious experience.
