I am a PhD student associated with the ERC grant ‘The Radical Plasticity Thesis’. I am interested in the study of consciousness from a psychological, biological and philosophical perspective.
For my master’s degree, I worked with Tristan Bekinschtein in Cambridge on his framework of transitions of consciousness, exploring higher cognitive functions during the transition to sleep.
Here in Brussels, I will join the ‘Radical Plasticity Thesis ‘ project to investigate the mechanisms through which the brain learns about itself (e.g. when brain activity is externalised via neurofeedback) and the dynamics of the emergence of novel experiences (e.g. with sensory-substitution and brain-computer interfaces).
