Research

Between a MSc in Biomedical Sciences: cognitive neurobiology & clinical neurophysiology at UvA (Netherlands) and a BSc in Neurosciences at Aix-Marseille University (France), I was awarded an outgoing scholarship by the NeuroMarseille Institute. I joined the CO3 group at ULB to investigate human consciousness.

The Brussels’ tachistoscope can precisely display stimuli within the µsec range. Leveraging this technology, I designed and carried out an experiment to explore unconscious visual perception. A subliminal priming paradigm was used, with complex pictures and a Bayesian staircase to calibrate subliminal primes below individual identification thresholds. Discrepancies between psychometric functions parameters of different priming conditions were analysed.
