Research
Anna Leśniewska is a PhD student in the UR2NF and ACTE research units, supervised by Prof. Gaétane Deliens and Prof. Alison Mary. She holds a master’s degree in Cognitive Science from Jagiellonian University (Kraków, Poland), where her research examined the effects of vmPFC tDCS on attentional bias and reward processing, as well as auditory processing dynamics using 40-Hz ASSR during sleep.
Her current project investigates how sleep on the first night after an analogue-trauma event shapes emotional memory consolidation and the development of intrusive memories. This work spans three studies: (i) psychophysiological responses to trauma-film material as predictors of analogue-trauma symptomatology; (ii) the effects of restful sleep versus sleep deprivation on emotional memory consolidation over a 72-hour window; and (iii) the potential of Targeted Memory Reactivation (TMR) during slow-wave and REM sleep to protect against maladaptive memory consolidation and symptom development.
