My PhD project focuses on how humans select an action within sensori contexts affording competing action options. Moreover, we wish to shed light on how decision variables (i.e. expected reward, probability of movement) come into play to bias action selection (i.e sensorimotor based decision-making). To this aim, we use functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging as well as behavioral studies.
As a follow up of my master thesis, I am also interested in whether cognitive control is bound to conscious processing or if it may fall under the scope of unconscious processing.
