We are opening a full-time position for a Research Logistician!
Starting date: October 2026
Contract: Full-time, 4-year position
Required qualifications and skills
- PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience, Biomedical Sciences, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong expertise in experimental psychology and cognitive science
- Experience with neurophysiological data (EEG)
- Programming skills and experience in data processing and analysis (Psychopy, R, Python or Matlab)
- Excellent command of English for communication with non-French-speaking researchers at the CRCN (knowledge of French is an asset)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
- Ability to teach, train, and transmit methodological and technical knowledge
- Strong organizational skills and experience in project management
- High scientific rigor
Main activities
- Oversee maintenance, updates, and optimal functioning of experimental equipment, including management of experimental rooms and shared resources, to ensure fair and efficient access within the CRCN
- Conduct methodological and technological monitoring (scientific and technical developments relevant to experimental research)
- Provide technical and methodological support to CRCN researchers in setting up experiments, using equipment, collecting data, and developing data analysis and signal processing pipelines (e.g., EEG, eye-tracking)
- Organize and deliver training for CRCN researchers on equipment use, ethical considerations, data storage, and data sharing practices
- Implement an automated data backup system in collaboration with the ULB Technology Platform
- Contribute to participant recruitment and maintain a database of volunteers interested in participating in research projects
