A new theoretical framework for lucid dreams published in PNAS

Lucid dreams are a phenomenon in which the dreamer is fully aware that they are currently asleep and living a dream, to the point that they can guide the dream in just about any desired direction. This allows for feeling experiences impossible in the physical world, like levitating or flying. In this new paper published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), Peter Simor (CRCN), Tamás Bogdány and Philippe Peigneux (CRCN) propose a new scientific framework which will allow researchers to study lucid dreams with additional methods and explore the use of lucid dreams in therapeutic settings.
